For TOWNER in a town in Scotland, “OWN TIE” must be “OUR AIN TIE”. Replacing OWN with OUR in (i), we get TOURER in (j). This means the course of TOURER denotes a course of tourist in Scotland. Getting back to (d) together with this course, we get “TAINER” in (k).
Trying to extend the course of tourist, we get RETAINER (which means servant) with the shape of a profile with beard. Remaining black letter in our Scotland is only one letter “I”, which is covered by RETAINER. In RETAINER’s mouth, we notice W denotes his teeth. So we get “RETAINER W”. There is no doubt that appearance of the profile with RETAINER W is the desired coincidence. We should admit meekly that AIN→OWN is essential to get it. Of course this means the cipher was made after the death of Francis Bacon.
